SNG Projects

Economic Analysis

Our consultants have consulted on economic development initiatives across Canada, in the US, Europe, the Caribbean and Asia.

With a vision to revitalize communities with strategic information and communication technology (ICT) planning, the SNG team brings a unique strategic focus to accelerate both the deployment of critical broadband infrastructure and its use by local businesses and industry.

SNG Tools

Online Impact Tracking Tool (OITT)

This online tool enables broadband proponents (project managers, economic development officers, etc.) to measure and track the impacts of their broadband network investments. The OITT collects data directly from network users to understand how households, businesses, and organizations use and benefit from broadband services.

Benefits from OITT: Hard data and findings on broadband's usage and benefits can inform stakeholders on the real impacts of their investments and initiatives, as well as provide insights for strategies and plans to maximize the positive effects of broadband for the community.

Broadband Market Analytics Tool (BMAT)

This online tool enables broadband network providers gathers market intelligence needed for broadband deployment planning and post-deployment tracking. The BMAT provides a structured best practices approach to collecting data directly from households, businesses, and organizations on service demand, price sensitivity, and customer satisfaction to assess market demand and to develop effective market strategies.

Benefits from BMAT: Automates data collection from customer base needed in planning of promotions and marketing campaigns, and setting penetration rate targets.

Community Broadband Readiness Self-Assessment Tool (CBRSAT)

This online self-assessment tool is targeted to those who have already decided to take steps to bring broadband into their community and is designed to assess their readiness to successfully implement a broadband project. Community leaders and key stakeholders are invited to participate in an online self-assessment that focuses on six key readiness categories; Leadership, Vision and Plan, Organizational Stability, Community Awareness, Implementation Ability, and Market Profile.

Benefits from CBRSAT: Insights into communities' strengths and challenges so they have a good understanding of what is required to achieve a successful broadband implementation.
