A key factor in the success of SNG's projects is the ability to tailor our analysis and tools to individual communities. In order to do this, it is essential that we have accurate and up to date information on the communities we are targeting. One important method of gaining this information is surveying the local population.

In addition to more traditional means of survey deployment (such as mail or fax), SNG makes use of ICT by encouraging respondents to email their replies of fill out the survey online. The aim is to reduce the burden of the respondent by providing options as well as simplifying the data collection process.

Why fill out a survey?

Each of the surveys designed by SNG is tailored to the goals of the individual project. However, the purpose of each survey remains the same, to develop an accurate picture of the needs, desires and opportunities of each community. This picture will allow for the creation of an economic development strategy and an ICT deployment strategy most appropriate to the community in question. This will help make the most effective use of development efforts and investment funds.
